Certification & authorities
A translation prepared and stamped by a translator who is publicly appointed and sworn (öffentlich bestellt und allgemein beeidigt) or authorised (ermächtigt) by a German court, confirming it is complete and accurate.
Standesämter, German courts, Ausländerbehörden, universities and admissions offices, employers, and embassies/consulates.
Widely accepted across the EU; for a specific country or institution outside Germany, confirm with us before ordering.
No — only a translator who has been publicly appointed and sworn or authorised by a German court may certify a translation. We work exclusively with such translators for certified work.
Turnaround & delivery
Standard delivery is 2–3 business days from order confirmation; express delivery (24 hours) is available on most packages for a 50% surcharge.
As a digital PDF by default; add postal hard-copy delivery at checkout or on the package's options for +€14.28 incl. VAT (+€12.00 net) at package level, or +€5.83 incl. VAT (+€4.90 net) (DE) / +€15.35 incl. VAT (+€12.90 net) (EU) at checkout.
Contact us — depending on document length and current capacity, we can sometimes accommodate a tighter deadline; we won't promise what we can't deliver.
Postal delivery is available to the EU; tell us the destination at checkout and we'll confirm the delivery line.
Pricing & payment
Yes, for the 16 fixed-price packages — the price you see is the net price; 19% VAT is added at checkout. Bespoke work is quoted individually.
Invoice/SEPA bank transfer is our standard method — we email an invoice with bank details after you place your order. A demo card-payment method also exists for testing; it is clearly marked as a sandbox and processes no real payment.
Payment (invoice) is issued at order confirmation; we begin work once your documents and payment/payment confirmation are received.
EU business customers with a valid VAT ID may qualify for the reverse-charge mechanism — enter your VAT ID at checkout.
Data protection (GDPR/DSGVO)
Name, email, phone, and — only if you choose postal delivery — a postal address, used solely to prepare, deliver, and invoice your order.
Only for as long as needed to complete your order, plus any statutory retention period, after which they are deleted from active systems. See our Privacy Policy for exact retention periods.
Only where necessary to deliver your order (e.g. the sworn translator preparing it, or a postal courier) or where legally required. We do not sell your data.
Access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, and objection, under the GDPR/DSGVO — full detail and how to exercise them is in our Privacy Policy.
Ordering & the cart
No — add packages to your cart and check out as a guest; your order reference and confirmation are sent by email.
Order the closest package and note the difference, or send a structured quote request via Contact — we'll confirm an exact price.
Contact us as soon as possible at support@translationroad.com — we can usually accommodate changes before translation begins.
You'll land on a confirmation page with your order reference, then receive an invoice by email with instructions for sending your documents; work begins once we receive them.
